1. Acceptance of terms
By using OjaLive — whether through the website at ojalive.ng, our WhatsApp bot, or any other channel — you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CodeStrider Holdings Ltd, a company incorporated in Nigeria.
2. The service
OjaLive is a community-powered market price tracking platform. We aggregate price data submitted by users ("contributors") and make it available to other users for informational purposes.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price data on OjaLive. Prices are submitted by real people in real markets and may reflect conditions at a specific time and location that no longer apply. Always verify prices independently before making significant purchasing decisions.
OjaLive is part of the CodeStrider ecosystem, which also includes BizHub (business management) and ProFinda (skilled worker marketplace).
3. Accounts and eligibility
To use OjaLive you must be at least 13 years old. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account is identified by your WhatsApp phone number. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering. Using a false identity or impersonating another person is grounds for immediate account suspension.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use OjaLive to:
- Submit false, misleading, or deliberately inflated/deflated price data
- Spam the WhatsApp bot with automated or bulk messages
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform in bulk without our written permission
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or OjaLive staff
- Circumvent account limits, credit systems, or subscription gates through technical or social means
- Use the service for any illegal purpose under Nigerian law
- Create multiple accounts to game the reputation or credits system
- Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of these rules at our discretion.
5. User-submitted content
When you submit a price report, you grant CodeStrider Holdings Ltd a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute that data as part of the OjaLive dataset — including in anonymised, aggregated, or derived forms.
You represent that price submissions you make are based on genuine observations in real markets. You understand that deliberately false submissions harm the community and may result in account suspension.
Price data submitted to OjaLive becomes part of the collective dataset and may persist on the platform even if your account is deleted, in anonymised form.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. All payments are processed by Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise Paystack to charge your payment method for the amount shown at checkout.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds except where required by Nigerian consumer protection law, or in cases of clear billing error. If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us within 14 days at [email protected].
Price changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
Free tier
The free tier is provided at our discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time. We will give reasonable notice before reducing free tier limits significantly.
7. Vendor listings
Vendors listed on OjaLive represent that:
- They are a legitimate business operating in Nigeria
- The contact information and product categories they provide are accurate
- They have the right to sell or supply the products they list
Free listings go live subject to basic verification. We reserve the right to remove any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, or violates these terms without notice or refund.
OjaLive is a directory and does not facilitate or guarantee any transaction between vendors and customers. We are not a party to any sale and accept no liability for disputes between vendors and customers.
8. Intellectual property
The OjaLive platform, including its design, code, brand, and compiled market data, is owned by CodeStrider Holdings Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of it without our written permission.
The OjaLive name, logo, and "CodeStrider" brand are trademarks of CodeStrider Holdings Ltd.
Individual price data points submitted by users are not owned by us — they are factual information contributed to a community dataset. However, the compiled dataset as a whole, including any derived analytics, trend data, or market intelligence reports, is our intellectual property.
9. Disclaimers
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities. We may suspend the service for maintenance at any time.
OjaLive is not a financial advisory service. Nothing on the platform constitutes financial, legal, or professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, CodeStrider Holdings Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of OjaLive — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of OjaLive shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or ₦10,000, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these terms, without prior notice. We will generally try to warn you first for minor violations.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to paid features ends immediately and no refund is issued for unused subscription time.
12. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify active users via WhatsApp at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of OjaLive after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
